It's not just about the elephant...

John Donne once said, "Nature's great masterpiece, an elephant; the only harmless great thing". The quote could be true because despite they are the largest animal that walk on the earth these days, yet they are the gentlest one if domesticated. To getting close with these big mammals, Kuala Gandah's National Conservation Centre is a place to go. This trip was held to enlighten the 'visitors with the green outfit' about how important to preserve what we still have.

"Words are cheap. The biggest thing you can say is 'elephant''
- Charlie Chaplin

"Propaganda is a soft weapon; hold it in your hands too long, and it will move about like a snake, and strike the other way."
- Jean Anouilh

"You know, you can touch a stick of dynamite, but if you touch a venomous snake it'll turn around and bite you and kill you so fast it's not even funny."
- late Steve Irwin

It is the time to play with the elephant.

This juvenile is only around 5 years old. 5 years old human not even half of its size.

Yeah! Being with the animals can be very enjoyable! They're agreed.

"A camel makes an elephant feel like a jet plane."
- Jackie Kennedy

An elephant may eat up to 300 kilograms of food per day in the wild. They drink up to 300 liters a day depends on the temperature. No wonder they are so fat...

Maybe we came here just for fun, but at least we learn something new about those animals that we never knew before. The important thing is we realize that some of those animals are in the brink of extinction. Now, it is on our own hand how we react on this issue as once they are gone, they're gone.
